In an era of mobile data driven decision making personal data such as Advertising ID, IP address, or Geolocation are highly valuable. Leveraging mobile user data should be in accordance and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry leaders around the world such as Google.

Start.io collects, processes, uses and shares end users' data in accordance with its End User Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to processing personal data of users through the entire Start.io Network, which includes data sources (such as: publishers who use Start.io SDK, SSPs and other integrations) and data users, with whom data is shared (such as: advertisers, DSPs and data partners).

We adhere to Privacy Principles

In order to be compliant, we adopted all basic principles of privacy, which apply in almost every jurisdiction which respects individuals right for privacy. Our Privacy Policy discloses, in a transparent language, the following elements of our data collection practices:

Data of users through the entire Start.io Network, which includes data sources (such as: publishers who use Start.io SDK, SSPs and other integrations) and data users, with whom data is shared (such as: advertisers, DSPs and data partners).

What data is being collected? Start.io may collect IP, location, device properties, carrier, network connection details, and “Advanced Data” (Apps, Bluetooth paired devices and device sensors).

Other user rights

In addition to opt out rights, Start.io Network users may exercise any of the following rights by contacting us: withdraw consent, object, deletion, data review and rectification, and data transfer, as well as other variation of these rights pursuant to worldwide privacy laws. Data of users, who request to opt out, withdraw consent, object, or delete their data, will be anonymized, by deletion of these users' unique identifier (advertising ID).

We may use anonymized data for any purpose, since it does not affect users' privacy. These rights may be exercised by contacting Start.io (at privacy@start.io).

What data we do not collect?

We collect identifiable data only. That means that we cannot identify end users personally: we do not have their name, email, phone number or other data which can identify them. We can only differentiate users by their advertising ID, which is a unique online identifier.

In addition, we do not (knowingly) collect any data which requires special consent: such as sensitive data of users (which may include: physical or mental health or condition, ethnic or communal origin, or intimate affairs or sexual life), or data from apps designated for children (known in the US as COPPA apps).

with GDPR

Start.io has updated its Privacy Policy to be compliant with GDPR. With respect to most aspects of the data collected, Start.io is defined as “Data Controller”.

The Privacy Policy elaborates that the lawful basis for processing personal data is consent, and that the only purpose for collection and process of identifiable data, including sharing it with third parties, is personalized advertising experience. End users may exercise all rights granted under the GDPR such as: withdraw consent, object, erasure (deletion) of data and access to their data. These rights may be exercised by contacting Start.io support

with CCPA

Start.io has updated its Privacy Policy to be compliant with CCPA. The Privacy Policy elaborates the categories of data collected from users, the sources of the data, the purpose for collection of the data and its usage, which includes sharing of data with third parties. End users may exercise all rights granted under the CCPA such as: opt out, deletion of data and access to their data.

These rights may be exercised by contacting Start.io support (at privacy@start.io or support@start.io). In addition, Start.io has implemented a “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” button on its website (https://www.start.io/policy/privacy-policy/), and made a toll free number available to its users. Both may be used for opting out of Start.io services. Users who request to opt out from Start.io services are anonymized, by deletion of their unique identifier (advertising ID).
