What is in-app advertising?
In-app advertising means that a mobile game or app allows advertising to be incorporated into its experience for a developer to make money. The way ads are leveraged can be through different ad formats like interstitial, playable, or banner.
How does in-app advertising work?
In-app advertising works through an automated buying/bidding process called programmatic advertising where ad networks and developers buy and sell ad space within milliseconds. One increasingly popular programmatic technology is called in-app bidding, which allows the ad network with the highest bid to display its ad within an app or game instead of using a manually set up waterfall.
